May 25th-31st Daily Create
#tdc4633 #ds106 Let’s all take a second to appreciate the beauty of nature.
For today’s daily create, we were asked to take a picture of nature or something outside in our surroundings. I chose this picture I took recently of a waterfall while on a hike. I feel like taking 10 minutes out of your day to be out in nature can help relieve a bit of anxiety. Anyone who knows me, knows I love sunsets, and the outdoors and whenever there is a pretty view, you will see me there taking a photo.

Taking a photo in nature connects to Mayer’s Multimedia Principle because the image helps communicate emotions and appreciation for the outdoors more effectively than words alone. The visual allows viewers to feel more connected to the peaceful environment and understand the experience in a deeper way.
#tdc4999 #ds106 Accidental Photo
This daily create asked us to show the most recent accidental photo in our camera roll. My friend group and I all recently went camping at our friends cabin, and I meant to flip the camera to take a photo of me and my best friend but instead accidentally ending up capturing the fire, our half aten hotdog, and our drinks.

This activity showed how images can express emotion, meaning, and context without needing many words. My photo tells a story that people can understand and interpret in their own way.
#tdc4281 #ds106 We’re All Changing
For this daily create, we were asked to take a picture of something that is changing and I decided to show a photo myself from when I was a kid.

I feel like this photo best represents change because I am not the same person I was when this photo was first taken, and I think I as a person continue to change day to day. University is about finding yourself, and I know I have changed in so many different ways even in the last month. This connects to Mayer’s Personalization Principle because using a personal photo and reflection creates a stronger connection with the audience. The image of me as a baby compared with who I am now helps tell a meaningful story about growth and change.
